Summer is NOT Spelled W-I-N-T-E-R

While enjoying a stroll on Sherman Avenue in Downtown Coeur d'Alene last night, this sign caught my eye. The temperature was hovering just over 90 degrees. The flowers are blooming and lovely. The trees are green (or purple, if that's the way they swing.) It was a perfect summer evening. I first thought how odd it is that Brix Restaurant Steak & Chop House wants us to wait until winter to support downtown businesses. Then I realized that no business would want us to wait to spend money with them. For a moment, I considered that Brix is too lazy to change the easily reachable reader board letters. Or maybe they just have too much business so don't have the time. Nope. A look at the empty tables tells us they don't have too much business and no business that relies on their outside message to bring in paying customers would be so blatantly lazy. All this deducing and deduction leads to one conclusion... The folks at Brix just plain don't know how to spell summer. Hey guys! It's S-U-M-M-E-R.
